<pre><p>A pinch of awareness</p>a dollop of humility
three table-spoons of courage
and half a pint of perseverance
mix all four ingredients 
until readily assimilated
and heat until hot 
enough to touch briefly 
without getting burnt

the source is now ready 
— which begs the question —
<em>what does it mean to be ready?</em>
