When 
after many 
years of seeking 
two souls meet in sacred space
guided by the law of attraction of equals
both know that happiness is not made 
by one on behalf of the other
both commit to being themselves 
in each other's presence as a daily practice
both cherish their time shared 
as a gift of their precious life
together they create 
an island of unconditional love 
in a world heaving with humans 
psyched up by inner turmoil 
and they finally feel safe 
in the space that lights up -
between and around them
even through dark nights
and wild storms
and raging fires

a photo still still instilled with
a stillness of the thrill of will finding 
will in compasses compelled 
a core of beauty to be held 
beheld in a monument of

testament how souls
