• Always: Dad

A good father is worth all the gold in Egypt

womb light of memory fills the room
always in the belly of the beast
      there was my dad
      somehow understanding
he wouldn’t miss it for the world
      no matter the obstacle
      he was there
      always knowing what to say

      and how to listen

      how to love

how to inspire his son to forever fight

these the last visits we would have

he told me about a Spanish song
a man in prison is set to be hanged
there is a bell that must ring first
when the time comes for the hanging
      the bell refuses to ring
and they cannot hang the man
as they are letting him go
his mom falls from the bell
where she stopped it from ringing
      he runs to her
      saying
momma you didn’t have to do that
      to which she replies
      yes I did

because love goes all the way

love is a force of exponential effects

      enacted by imperfect vessels

      undergoing individual alchemies
      perfected by the process
      to be forever in togetherness

      beyond even our conceptualizations
across thresholds beyond what we can behold
      tinges of twilight upon consciousness
      the eyes caress observations
      of dreamy music
      worlds inside of worlds
time ceases to exist when I think of you
drawing me in interconnectedness and connection
      dimension beyond dimension
      empowerment and protection
      shining aligning elements of ascension
      empowerment and protection

      dimension beyond dimension
drawing me in interconnectedness and connection
time ceases to exist when I think of you

      • Another great piece inspired by Josh’s work.

I’m digging that story (song) with the bell told by your father. Those parables or lessons tend to take on deeper meanings as we grow old. The wisdom of the ages is passed down in time.

        Amazing stuff sir.
