@Wally Thank you Walter. Yes, I wonder if she was both, a writer and reader of poetry. To be able to write poetry and build a website is off the charts. I think of her in her workshop makin cool widgets. To have the caring in your heart to do a poetry site… To do it like she did it… Man, that’s such a great a thing. Then, to have the ship sink into the ocean. You can’t put a price on the DUP construct, however, just ballparkin it in my head, with the first hand experience of having, myself, built a poetry site. (Tis quite exciting. At no other time in history was such technology accessible, to lower the barrier of entry for a poet to have a poetry site, a writer to have a writing site). A lot of people talk about the large corporate entities, and AI… While I think these are valid points, I also think that what we might call [Independent Mediums] are going to be at a premium, moving forward into the future. I just think the daring and the skill… Are going to be what makes such operations rise to the top. Let us say… Stay afloat. Or… Sail the seven seas. Being that a poetry site is a unique consideration. But yes, think of the billions of people who have lived. Truly truly… WebMiss was one of a kind. DUP, legit… Was the best poetry site to have ever been on the internet. I mean, I had a dream to have a poetry site, before I even went on a computer. My friend was into computers and I just never got into them, until later… For the writing. When I got on the internet I found that someone had my same dream of having a poetry site. I say that to say that perhaps many have had such a dream. WebMiss did it. It woulda been cool to see the evolution of DUP. I read that it started with like a bulletin format I believe someone said. Was way different than the badass DUP machine that it became. I was majorly hawking the coding, or, how I imagined it, the gears turning. Think of how it would be… Wherever she is… May beauty always be around her. But I just think of her, gazing into sunrises and sunsets, having the knowledge. The gnosis. And other elements… I been wanting to write about DUP, but have held off… Been thinkin. While I greatly appreciate The Mystery, truly, another part of me feels and thinks it is a story that must be told. I think I am just gonna start goin ham on the Substack and seek to reach people around the world. I been wanting to get the site right, which I think it is about there… Adding the points and ranks was dope. I have designed some merch and am getting the merch shop together. You know, I did this site so we could keep writing. The only thing I cared about was that we all keep writing and never give up on our dreams. I dont give a fuck if that souds crazy. Just as I said how rare WebMiss is, so too, are all writers the rare ones. The ones that must be preserved and protected. I dont care about much, perhaps… I very much want to make NWP into something awesome.
