Look towards the sky.
The heavens declare the wonders of the universe.
If you gaze long enough,
you will find yourself in the stars.
If you listen long enough,
you will understand the ways of the moon.
If you reflect long enough,
you will see your light in the radiance of the sun.

From a certain perspective,
this world can make you…

26/30 We Understand Each Other In Time
Rewriting Memory
Blink…I blinked slowly and the years went by
faster than anything I could have imagined
Reminiscing about those old wistful days
envisioning the now and how it happened
In dash a lot of memories come back
like a bright flash of lightning lighting the road
Every synapse and neuron…

Addictionship or Loveship
Happy families are all alike
unhappy families are each unhappy in their own way Tolstoy famously claimed and followed up with a novel to proffer his bold scheme the final words on this claim – fact or fiction – are written in the bones of every kin and soul in the blood of their own ménage a truth I can read in my…

Are you
a friend
or foe?
I still don’t know.
°
Should I trust you
or not?
What if
you’re all I’ve got?
°
I’m not sure
what to think anymore.
Should I still
be keeping score?
°
If I learn
to release?
Will I find
some peace?
°
If I let go?
Will it help me
to grow?

Competition 4 months agoRoaring past in discordance. Hoofs pounding the base rhythm.
Don’t stand. RUN or be moved not of will but of force.
A powerful dance surrounds the unwitting. Marionettes of God before they fly away.
Wild and passion to the core of cacophony tuneing for the next production.
Stay in the house, safe behind 4 walls. Oh, but Life is rich and will play on.

25/30 The Silence Filled With The Right Words
Rewriting Memory
The mutual understanding between kindred spirits
It’s like a language spoken at a higher plane
Even in silence there’s respect and admiration
When in retrospect we know we all felt the same
Amidst reverence and passionate veneration
There’s also a devotion that consumes the soul
As if…

Pilgrim’s Blessing
May your cascade of failures reach the sky
May you ask for grace to eat humble pie May sunshine return after the darkest night And moons lift your moods on a tide of light May the bread you eat fulfill your dreams And wild fires burn away what has never been Let the water of life wash you down and up May well-springs flow… -

What you call delusional,
I call confidence.
What you call crazy,
I call freedom.
°
I know I challenge
your long held assumptions.
It’s not out of malice;
it’s simply my nature.

You might think I’m sadistic;
that I enjoy watching you squirm.
When the truth is:
I’d love to relieve you of your discomfort.

Competition 4 months agoA good man died today. His life was riddles with hardships but he always kept his faith. His mother died when he was young and his dad could be abusive and cruel at times but when he was hit by a truck his dad made sure he got help he needed. Therapies and God got him through.
Alone, he spent his final years in a nursing home, with bad…

24/30 The Memory That Let’s Me Sleep
Rewriting Memory
Some opportunities come once in a lifetime
And then some present themselves as clear as day
But if the timing or rhythm happens to be off
That opportunity will grow wings and fly away
Then there are lucky happenstances that linger
As if by good grace it comforts and consoles the heart
Even when…

This is a love poem minus the words
it is meant to be read by your heart I trust your answer be true and straight but please don't shatter my hopes as I'm edging to the fringes of comfort heartened by will and stilled by your beauty the compass is turning towards what is true it shivers me down to my bones take or leave whatever… -

I’m not sure what to say.
Can I make it all just go away?
Am I just a fool in her folly?
If I try will I be sorry?
I’m not sure what to do.
Should I put my trust in you?
Or should I listen to sense,
before things get too intense?
I want to persist, be rid of my doubt,
but sometimes I fear my luck will run out.

23/30 The Undo Button
Rewriting Memory
Trust…I wish I hadn’t broken trust so many times
But I was egotistical and foolish too
I mixed the boundaries between wrong and right
With a skewed view of integrity and virtue
But the thing about distorted perception
Is that in a self-centered mind reality bends
There is no real sense of true north or…

22/30 The Hour That Didn’t Haunt Me
Rewriting Memory
I don’t quite recall the trinket, the memento
The ornament we had agreed to exchange
I remember the call from the night before
I recall how overnight everything felt strange
I remember the disappointment, the distress
How everything built up so quickly had changed
How in those last…

The Dream Collector
The dream-collector rode into town
with a faithful old horse and a rickety cart “Any old dreams you no longer want… declutter your lives, it will make a good start” And people came running to give him their dreams dug out from attics from cupboards and boxes “here’s my dear dream…” with tears in their eyes they… -

There is always more,
more to the story.
You may see the tip of the iceberg,
yet there is always more
beneath the water.
°
We can make every effort
to relay all the pieces,
to be precise,
but still—
something is missing.
°
Can we ever know
the story in its fullness?
We can feel it,
but never truly know it.
Not much of a loss—
Feeling is more…
