I was born the wrong gender
a girl was expected in line with familiar tradition a natural misfit right from the start the groove seemed so logical boys don’t cry, I was trained against my true nature in line with cultural tradition a natural misfit at the first hurdle the track was just typical men rule the roost, so I was told in line with patriarchal tradition averse to being in command and control I'm a natural misfit at every turn a poor pattern, obviously habitual I've been struggling with my misfit nature reliably from day one until it hit me that not fitting into a world that's gone awry and fake is the most natural way after all
