• Darkened Skies

      From the gross dross,

      In melting stars

      that

      Faded into space,

      I made a Heaven

      out of

      this

      Place,

      Studied the rules

      of

      the

      Altitudes

      That ruled

      processions

      that followed,

      In falling feather

      attitudes,

      And chemistries

      of

      mysteries

      in

      Similitudes,

      Made

      to

      fall;

      That is all.

      And when the darkness came

      with

      the knowledge

      of

      my name,

      I closed my eyes

      Opened my wings

      And

      Imagined

      Flight

      in

      firelight –

      Into darkened skies.
